Esteemed Panel To Deliberate More Than 600 Nominations
Pharmacy Times® and Parata Systems, founding partners of the Next Generation Pharmacist® awards announce the panel of judges for the 2018 awards.
The awards recognize remarkable pharmacists, student pharmacists, technicians, and industry advocates who define the future of pharmacy. “As the healthcare delivery system in our country continues to evolve, pharmacists will play a more critical role in the delivery of outcomes-based care. The Next-Generation Pharmacist awards honor those that are embracing this change and taking a lead role in innovation.” Says Brian Haug, President, Pharmacy Healthcare and Communications, LLC. Up to three finalists and one winner will be named in each of 10 categories. Of these category winners, one will be named the 2018 Next-Generation Pharmacist.
Finalists and category winners are selected after careful review and deliberation by an independent panel of judges. Pharmacy Times® editor-in-chief Troy Trygstad, PharmD, Ph.D., MBA chairs the panel of judges which include industry leaders from health care systems, retail pharmacies, hospitals, academia, associations, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. The following will join Trygstad on the panel this year:
“It’s so important to recognize the leaders in the industry,” says DJ Dougherty, Parata’s CEO. “We couldn’t do it without the volunteered help and expertise of our judges which is why we honor them at the awards gala along with finalists and winners.”
